Manish Malhotra now has designs on God

After dressing the stars in that 70s look in Farah Khan Om Shanti Om, Hindi cinema's biggest designer has moved on to an ever greater star.
Manish Malhotra has turned to Lord Krishna for inspiration. The Radhe-Krishna idol of Mumbai's Iskon Temple now have clothes designed by the man Hindi cinema swears by.
“I felt that this offering must be made to the gods,” he said.
Dainty colours, floral patterns, replete with glitter and shimmer, these are glamourous clothes for the gods and there was enough hullabaloo and stars in the audience too.
“Even Gods need to be trendy nowadays,” quipped actor Raveena Tandon.
And why not? After all, Krishna is perhaps the most stylish deity in the pantheon.
“We are very happy about the clothes by Manish,” said a devotee Vipin Bajaj .
It certainly seems like even the Gods need to stay in vogue.
