Maharani’s precious jewels on auction

Jewelries of Anita Delgado, fifth wife of Maharaja Jagatjit Singh of Kapurthala, will be auctioned in London by the famous auctioneering forum Christie, on December 12. Jagatjit Singh was a very rich Maharaja of India and the jewelleries were passed on to Anita as a legacy.Christie distinguished the eight pieces of jewelry to have the unique art deco style of 1920s. The auction is expected to extract a total of £200,000. Experts reveal that one of these jewels adorned with emerald, diamond and rock crystal can procure a sum of nearly £100,000.
After Maharani Anita’s death in 1962, her son Ajit Singh, sold the jewelries to the present marketer who will set them up for auction
